This is why we are unwaveringly committed to rigorous quality testing on all our products, why we only use packaging that is environmentally friendly, why we invest in our properties with solar energy, satellite-controlled water conservation systems, and bioswales to filter runoff water from our roofs and pavement. It is why we worked hard to become Oregon’s first Zero Waste Facility, diverting more than 90% of all non-hazardous waste from landfills and incineration.
“People, plants, and planet before profit” is also the foundation of our relationship with our partner farmers throughout the Pacific Northwest, and with our global farm partners through Fair for Life, a rigorous certification standard for fair trade that requires transparency and equity throughout the entire supply chain and provides funding to hard-hit farming communities in order to support life changing innovations in organic agriculture, health, and education. As one of our partner farmers in India said so perfectly—Fair for Life means we are all committed together to a system that is “fair for farmers, fair for [the] environment, and fair for customers.”

As a dedicated herbalist with over a decade of experience using yarrow flower from various suppliers, I was disheartened by my recent purchase from Mountain Rose Herbs. Traditionally, yarrow flowers present a creamy to light brown hue, accompanied by a strong, distinctive aroma and a notably bitter taste. However, the batch I received was predominantly composed of finely ground green leaves, deviating significantly from the expected characteristics. Mountain Rose Herbs is renowned for its commitment to organic and sustainably sourced botanicals, as evidenced by their extensive certifications and quality control measures. Their dedication to quality is further demonstrated by their in-house testing facilities, which ensure the identity and purity of their products. Despite these rigorous standards, the discrepancy in the yarrow flower batch I received raises concerns about consistency and quality control.

One of the reasons we love Oregon so much is because of stores like Mountain Rose Herbs, we love getting our herbs, oils and supplies from local businesses like this. We love their quality and it’s important to me and my family to buy the best of the best. We fell in love with the store as soon as we walked in and I’m sure you will too. Love their 5th Street location. Very knowledgeable sales people. Occasionally they will throw a coupon my way, but it's easier to just go by the storefront and get what I need. Pressure buying items from a local business, and I can trust they have been tested to meet quality standards. I have been buying from them over 10 years now.

Mountain Rose Herbs has a large selection of organic herbs and curated products. It was awesome to know they have vetted all the products and vendors. It is getting so hard to trust companies with the amount of mis-information and giant corporations buying up most of the smaller brands/comapnies and changing ingredients and or processesing methods. I love that I could buy organic herbs in bulk for a reasonable cost. Everything In my order was packed well & small items like chapstick & rose hip oil individually packed inside the box. I received everything i ordered right on time, it was quick which is necessary living in a state with extreme heat. My beeswax chapstick was NOT melted, the scent is perfect & feels awesome on the lips. The dried herbs are amazing quality and I am enjoying using them and my severe injury feels SO much better!! And healing much quicker too! I won't hesitate to order again. Thank you Mountain Rose Herbs for such amazing products and having great company values and a team that cares and has those same values.
