I have been studying alternative ways of healing for over 20 years. The body and our cells have wisdom and we can heal ourselves if we focus on body and mind. They are not separate. Many years ago, after college, I experienced some anxiety due to a stressful job. The advice I was given was to take medication. While I am not against pharmaceuticals because everything has its place, I knew that if I didn’t address the root cause of my anxiety it would reoccur all my life. I started seeking out different forms of healing and found a wonderful Ayurvedic Doctor who helped me regain my health. Through this process came profound healing and I never looked back. It began a journey of education and learning. I started studying various forms of healing so I could help others. My process with clients includes using everything I have learned such as Ayurveda, aromatherapy, yoga, meditation, energy healing and a vital component to health….nutrition. I decided to pursue a Masters Degree in nutrition since it was clear to me through my Ayurveda studies that nutrition is the foundation to achieving and maintaining good health. Stress management is another area of focus. Thoughts begin in the mind and manifest to the body which causes stress that leads to illness. We must address all areas of our life, especially in these challenging times to truly achieve and maintain health.
I work with clients on many conditions such as anxiety, autoimmune disease, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disease, and weight management with a focus on women with autoimmune disease. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease in 2012 and love helping others manage the disease through diet and lifestyle.
