Very interesting and practical information. The explanation of Ayurveda life flow/elements should have been given as a supplemental information sheet for me to take with me after the interviewer. I have not received the recommentations yet. As a former manager whose position required interviewing skills, I would advise practitioners to not follow the typical, 'ask and answer the question, multiple choice possible answers' style. For example, when asked a question, the interviewer would offer possible answers rather than let me respond with an answer. We did discuss how best to communicate with me and he was amenable to using a more "investigative" "building from current information" type of questioning. Please know that he was very polite, knowledgeable and informative. The aforementioned style that I prefer may not work for everyone, but that's the skill of a good interviewer, isn't it to know how to best obtain needed information to offer most effective course of action. He probably told me his name, but in the moment of getting comfortable with a stranger, the nervousness of a new experience and retaining very new information, all of which are normal in a new situation, having a name tag would have helped. Maybe he did have one, I don't remember seeing it. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning to monitor and improve health using the more holistic and deeper aspect of restoring harmony and balance. I look forward to learning more.

I love my regular doctor visits to Kerala Ayurveda. I have scheduled them every 3 months. It is a detailed check in about my skin condition (chronic eczema) and general well being related to perimenopause, weight concerns, and pre-diabetes. All my blood tests come handy. Each time, there is fine tuning of medication and dietary + exercise + stress management recommendations. I feel supported and know that my doctor has my back.

I mostly answered questions during my appointment at Kerala Ayurveda. I learned that I was Vatta/Pitta constitution, and that I should do the "alternate nostril breathing" daily instead of the two days a week we go to senior yoga classes. I was also told that we should have our meals on a regular schedule, rahter than when I am in the mood to fix food. This has not been our style, but I am thinking about that. I am looking forward to the students' assessment of my life and health. Thank you all.

UPDATE: I received a full refund and the issue was addressed by the business. ***** 1) I received bottles that were disgustingly dusty. When I received them, I wondered where they kept these products to be that dusty and unkempt. 2) Out of the 7 products I ordered, I received 5 close to their expiring date, meaning close to 3 years old with no more shelf life. 3) One of the products, a box of tablets, arrived open with the box ripped and the tablets outside its box and all over the shipping box. 4) I submitted a request for return and refund on their cumbersome website system. It took a week to be approved even when I sent pictures. 5) I followed all the return instructions, including covering their bottles with the same cardboard with which they arrived and paid $10+ for shipping it back. 6) After a week they received it, I got an email that my request for return was denied on the grounds that I didn't return them in their correct package. 7) I wondered if they will be reselling the returned items. 8) I contacted my Ayurveda provider and at her request Kerala Ayurveda Store provided a "partial" refund only.

I was very pleased with my experience as a patient with Kerala Ayurveda. It was refreshing to know that my practitioner (Nandita), her teacher(s) (Dr. Vaidya Neha Pitla) and/or her fellow/sister practitioners had reviewed my intake form before hand, and looked at it during my session. I felt that they got a very good picture of what I am experiencing in my mind, body and spirit. After more questions where answered, by me, they took fifteen (15) minutes to confer on my case. We then got back for their observations and recommendations. I look forward to follow up appointments as needed. Thank you all so much.
