Dosha benefits: Pitta
Ingredients:
- Oats 1 cup
- Green chillies 1 (finely chopped)
- Onion 1/2 (finely chopped)
- Garlic 1 clove (minced)
- Water 1 cup
- Coconut or Almond Milk 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 tsp
- Pepper powder a pinch
- Coriander for garnishing
Recipe:
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, green chillies and garlic for 4-5 minutes.
- Now add the oats and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add salt and water and let it come to a boil.
- Now add the Coconut or Almond milk and pepper powder to it, and bring to a boil.
- Garnish the rich and creamy oats soup with coriander or green onions.
- Serve piping hot with a slice of bread.
Ayurveda Tip:
- You can also add a pinch of garam masala or cumin powder to make the soup more flavorful
- Oats can be made to help balance all three doshas. It can be made sweet with Jaggery to balance Vata dosha.
